According to the police, early Wednesday, a Lindsay Lohan fan pushed past a night club security guard in a bid to grab the actress. The police statement says, Daniel Patrick Combs, 38, a resident of Phoenix , lunged at Lohan accompanied by her friend, British DJ Samantha Ronson, outside Jackrabbit Lounge in Scottsdale , Arizona .

Detained for some time, Combs was later released after being booked on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. Lohan, 22, and Ronson, 30, told police officers, they did not know Combs.

Shooting to fame playing one half of identical twins in Disney's 1998 remake of 'The Parent Trap', Lohan has not starred in a feature film since last year's box office flop 'I Know Who Killed Me.'
