All set to play Jim Carrey's best friend in the broad comedy 'Yes Man', Bradley Cooper says he signed on because of Carrey, as working with him is like a one-on-one chance to play with Michael Jordan.
The film starring Carrey is about a banker, who enrolls in a self-help programme that requires him to say yes to everything, which turns his life into a series of adventures, from flying planes, to learning Korean, including falling into a relationship with a quirky and impulsive girl (Zooey Deschanel). Based on a book about the real life experiences of a British guy who decided to say yes to everything for a year, and found it actually improved his life.
With improvisation and invention, the rule rather than the exception on the set of 'Yes Man', Cooper says even as a child, he always wanted to become an actor. Growing up across the street from a movie theatre and with a cinephile for a father, he fell in love with films when he was very young.
He has also played the part of a 'Lonely Planet' host that saw him taking out $50,000 life insurance policy and travelling to such far-flung locales, such as, Peru, the Arctic Circle and Croatia, tenting all the way.
Cooper can also be seen in 'He's Just Not That Into You' in February; 'All About Steve', the the romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock in March; and thriller 'Case 39' starring Renee Zellweger in April. Recently, he wrapped up Vegas-set comedy 'The Hangover, including a guest role on TV's 'Nip/Tuck.'
Yet, despite his success as an actor, Cooper like Clint Eastwood, who directed his first film aged 42 wants to become a director, and at age 33, Cooper feels he still has time to embark on his new career.
