CBS: Business “as usual” on the sets of “Two and a Half Men” with Sheen back at work

Charlie-SheenAccording to a Saturday statement by Chuck Lorre, the creator and executive producer of the CBS' most popular television comedy "Two and a Half Men," TV star Charlie Sheen, who reported back at work after his Christmas Day arrest on felony and other charges, was greeted by an "incredibly supportive" audience at his first show taping since the arrest episode.

Sheen, who resumed work at the hit TV show on Monday, was in Aspen, Colo. on December 25, on suspicion of domestic violence and other charges. As per a police complaint by Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, the actor put a knife to her throat during an argument, and threatened that he would have her killed.

The accusation was, however, denied by Sheen; and the attorneys are now saying that the couple, married for 20 months, is planning to patch up. Meanwhile, prosecutors are yet to decide whether or not to press official charges against the 44-year-old actor, who has a history of violent behavior towards women.

Noting that Sheen appears to be doing as well as he can, given the present circumstances, Lorre added: "Charlie is a consummate pro. He shows up and he delivers."

Calling Sheen's arrest his "personal and private" matter, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler told TV reporters, that the business was "as usual" at on the sets of the hit comedy show.
