Everyone is acknowledging that in the current times, the upcoming healthcare plan revamp is much required, but the Congress should now move quickly on reconciling its differences on the legislation and come up with a bill which can gain a final approval and be passed as a law.
The most important thing, however, is that the authorities should look for ways to make sure that the Medicare burden on "hard-pressed state budgets" is lessened, and also ensure that the relief is properly distributed.
One of the most important goals of the insurance revamp is to make sure that more low-income Americans get the benefits, and the bill requires the states to expand Medicare and the Government is offering generous funds to them to meet the end.
Despite the Government stimulus, however, states whose Medicare budgets are much stretched already will have to put in substantial funds of their own.
It seems like the Congress should now find more ways to funds to add to state Medicare programs. Either ways, states might just have to bear the extra burden and stretch their limits just a little bit more.
