This contradicts earlier unconfirmed rumoured whispers that claimed Johnny Depp would be reinventing the role in the new film, played by Jim Carrey in 1995's 'Batman Forever'. Scheduled for a 2010 release, the Batman 3 flick, so says the Sun, will feature Shia LeBeouf, 'Transformers' star as Robin, with Rachel Weisz as Catwoman, though circulating rumours would have us believe the role was to be played by Cher, 62.
