Online Baggage Check-In Fee Hiked by US Airways
 US Airways

Reports have speculated that US Airways is all set to increase the check-in fee it charges for online baggage’s and bring it to the same rate that is currently charged by Continental Airlines and Delta. The new rates will be effective from February 01.

The carrier will be increasing the fee charged for checking baggage’s online from $20 to $23 for the first bag, and for the second bag, the fee will go from the earlier $30 to $32.

Since last August, the airline has been charging customers who check their baggage at the airport $25 for the first bag and $35 for the second one, a price which was matched earlier this week by Continental and Delta.

It was then that both the US Airways rivals also surged their online fee marginally, which is currently higher than that charged by the carrier.
