Lance Armstrong lost his reputation after Oprah Winfrey’s Interview

Lance Armstrong, an awestruck athlete has no chance of competing again in sports if he doesn't divulge every detail of his performance-enhancing drug use.

Armstrong accepted that he used drugs in his cyclic career in an interview with Oprah Winfrey .He had been denying such allegations for past 13 years and just two days ago accepted his mistakes. The interview will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network tomorrow and Jan 18.

Armstrong's reputation has been hit badly. He has been stripped of his titles, barred from Olympic sports for life and abandoned by longtime sponsors such as Nike Inc. (NKE), Oakley Inc. and Anheuser-Busch InBev NV (ABI)

The International Cycling Union, or UCI, said it "would strongly urge" Armstrong to testify to an independent committee looking at the former rider's relationship with the leadership of cycling's governing body

Armstrong had to face lots of verbal attacks. Former teammate Frankie Andreu and his wife, Betsy, who testified that she heard Armstrong acknowledge doping while undergoing cancer treatment in 1996, said the disgraced cyclist has to repent for ruining other riders' careers.

Armstrong will also be adversely affected financially from this incident. Claim of $12 million is laid by Dalls based SCA Promotions Inc and $1.5 million by Sunday Times Of London.

Armstrong who was known as the best public figure in the fight against cancer is all apologies. He apologized to staff members of the charity founded by him. The charity which raised more than $470million since 1997. This charity was formed after he was diagnosed with cancer in 1996 with stage three

It will surely be a difficult task for Armstrong to get everything he has lost because of this episode.
